Just a few weeks ago, we were honored to learn that Jim McClain’s Solution Squad is a finalist in the 2018 Excellence In Graphic Literature Awards, sponsored by Pop Culture Classroom and Denver Comic Con. It is one of six finalists in a field of 90 books that were submitted for Best in Middle-Grade Books. I (Jim) have been invited to be at the awards ceremony in Denver in June when the winner is announced. I don’t think we’ll win, but to be honored in this way is so far beyond my wildest expectations, I don’t know what to think anymore. I’ll also be in their Artist Valley for the whole convention. I can’t wait!
